I first entered the private security industry through my contacts as a promoter for nightlife events. It was all a very low-key, under-the-table type of operation that didn’t pay very well, but let me booze around and make a little side money during my youth.
Since then, I’ve worked both armed and unarmed at low-risk corporate environments, high-risk drug-dealer infested neighborhoods and everything in-between. I am still actively involved in the security industry today. I’ve been doing this (as of this writing) for the past six years now.
My primary goal for starting this site is to share what I’ve learned (many times the hard way) with not just those new to the security field, but also for those that have been in it for a long time and might not be working in the most efficient ways.
This site will mostly contain the mistakes I wish someone would’ve told me about before I made them. I hope I can help save you from the same ones I’ve made and their consequences.
I am always ready and willing to listen to your stories and hear your questions. I am available via OfficerInsider[at]gmail[dot]com.
Respectfully,
Spencer Oborski
